Are you feeling anxious about your pet’s upcoming surgical procedure?

When a loved one needs surgery, it can be a difficult time filled with uncertainty and concern. You may be worried about complications and whether your baby will experience a lot of pain. We understand the questions weighing on your mind because we’ve been in your shoes. That’s why it’s so important to us that every procedure we perform is to the highest standards of safety and care. Our experienced doctors and well-trained support staff are here to handle all of your pet’s surgical needs, both routine and advanced.

Preparing for Surgery

Prior to your pet’s procedure, we recommend conducting pre-surgical screening. This helps us to identify certain risks that may be unique to your pet. Understanding what to prepare for ahead of time can vastly reduce the chances of complications. We’ll also focus on developing a plan for managing your pet’s pain effectively – before, during and following surgery. We use the safest anesthetic products available and tailor our approach to each patient for optimum results.

Surgical Care

The day of your pet’s surgery, he or she will receive our undivided attention. We’ll work hard to make your companion feel safe and at ease. Reassuring voices and gentle touches will make the entire experience much less stressful. We’re also happy to answer any last minute questions or concerns you may have about your pet’s surgery. We want you to feel confident leaving your best friend in our care.

Just prior to surgery, we will prepare your pet by administering the anesthesia. Once safely sedated, the procedure can begin. Our surgical suite is clean and outfitted with up-to-date equipment. While the doctor works, our compassionate support staff will monitor your pet to ensure that his or her vital signs and pain control remain stable. We will work as efficiently as possible to limit the amount of time your pet must be sedated.

When your pet is ready to go home, we will review our postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully. Help is only a phone call away.
